Our story
Welcome to Fern & Feta Platters! Our business was born out of a realisation that there was a gap in the market while I was planning my own wedding grazing table. Shortly after, a friend and I created a platter on New Year's Eve 2019 and received positive feedback and decided to start selling our creations, making a Facebook page that night. With the overwhelming support of over 50 likes on our page overnight, we knew we couldn't turn back.

While my friend pursued other career opportunities, I took the plunge and turned Fern & Feta Platters into a full-time venture. Since then, I have proudly crafted over 2000 platters and grazing tables, establishing ourselves as Canterbury's busiest grazing table and platter company.
​
In mid 2024 we increased our menu to now offer our 'Finger Food Catering' which has quickly become very popular! Perfect for either a more substantial snack option or a full dinner, we can have this serviced using our staff, or laid out grazing table style.
At the end of 2024 we also introduced our 'Grazing Cart', one of the first of it's kind in New Zealand. We have found it perfect for events that want a fun interactive experience! Your guests can choose what they want from 12 different options and one of our platter stylists will style it on a single serve platter.

Our commitment is to create platters and grazing tables that are not only visually stunning and vibrant, but also great value for our customers. We are passionate about using the freshest and highest quality ingredients in all of our platters and grazing tables. Whenever possible, we love to support other local Canterbury businesses, and any food scraps we have are put to good use by feeding our pet pigs and chickens.

I am Lucy, owner of Fern & Feta Platters.
​
I was raised on a deer farm close to Darfield and live between Methven & Ashburton in Winchmore with my husband, a dairy farmer, and our children, Tom & Darcy. I love spending my free time tending to my garden, which is where I cultivate most of the flowers and greenery utilised on my platters & grazing tables.

Having been in the grazing table & platter industry for over 5 years, I adore it and would like to express gratitude to all those who have bolstered me.
